'Coronation Street' star Jimmi Harkishin is just like a second dad to his on-screen daughter Tanisha Gorey.

The 54-year-old actor portrays local Weatherfield businessman Dev Alahan in the ITV soap and Tanisha, 17, plays his daughter Asha, whilst Zennon Ditchett, 17, is her twin brother Aadi.
Tanisha is very close to Jimmi and as well as being her best friend on set he always looks out for her just like her real father.
When asked who her best friend is on 'Corrie', she said: "Definitely Jimmi - who plays our Dev. He's been looking after me since my very first day on set. He's just like my dad, he's great. Jimmi's always the one I can go to, because we work so closely together."
However, Tanish admits that her close bond with Jimmi can cause problems during filming because he is always making her laugh when they shoot together.
The young actress insists it doesn't matter what subject they are tackling in the storyline, Jimmi will always find a way to make her and their co-stars burst into fits of giggles.
She shared: "He makes me laugh in the middle of scenes - every single time. We could be doing the most serious scene ever, and I will be sat there giggling to myself. There was a scene recently where Dev and Mary (Patti Clare) were talking to Asha about sex - you could see me laughing. I was fine at the start, but then he had to go and make jokes and make it the most awkward and funniest thing ever. He sets everyone off. Jimmi and Dev are pretty much the same person."
