On Monday (16th May, 2022), Apple TV+ held a global premiere to celebrate the exciting new show, Prehistoric Planet, at the AMC Century City IMAX Cinema in Los Angeles (LA).

Those who attended the red carpet event included executive producers Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton, showrunner/series producer Tim Walker, lead scientific consultant Dr. Darren Naish, directors and series animation supervisors Adam Valdez and Andrew R. Jones, and score composers Anže Rozman and Kara Talve.

Prehistoric Planet is narrated by none other than Sir David Attenborough, and will place audiences 66 million years ago in order to discover our world at a time when dinosaurs roamed.

The series’ exciting content will be met with incredible visuals, as well as the latest and newest learnings from palaeontology, as well as the most up-to-date technology to bring viewers into a world they have never seen before – at least not like this.

The trailer for the series was revealed around a month ago, and showcases the incredible visuals, narration, and technology that combine to create such a wonderful experience.

With Prehistoric Planet being narrated by Attenborough, the show already has a deep sense of reality and a highly grounded atmosphere, lending the series a watchable value.

Prehistoric Planet will debut exclusively on Apple TV+ on Monday, May 23rd, 2022 in a weeklong event that ends on Friday, 27th May, with an episode airing each day.
