As autumn officially kicks off, Asda has launched a selection of NEW own brand cheese suitable for vegans – including a supermarket first, blue cheese. Launching at £2.20, the new blue cheese alternative looks and tastes just like the real deal, with visible blue specks running through the creamy block.

Alongside the blue cheese alternative, Asda is also launching a Double Gloucester with Onion & Chive Alternative.

With the growing number of Brits following plant-based lifestyles soaring to over 3.5 million[1], the vegan-friendly cheese is the perfect addition to any cheeseboard and great when paired with crackers. The cheeses are also perfect for those looking for delicious choices free from gluten, wheat, milk and soya.

An Asda spokesperson said, “We’re always looking for new and exciting products to expand our range of vegan-friendly food.

“We know that Brits love cheese, and it is often a food missed when transitioning to a dairy-free lifestyle, so we’re happy our customers can find a delicious alternative at Asda.”

The NEW cheese alternatives join Asda’s existing Free From Cheese alternative collection, which includes:

  • Free From Mature Cheddar Alternative
  • Free From Garlic & Herb Soft Cheese Alternative
  • Free From Grated Mozzarella Alternative

Asda Free From Blue Cheese Alternative 200g and Asda Free From Double Gloucester Alternative with onion and chive 200g are available in-store and online now for £2.20.
