Everyone deserves good quality pizza, but for those on a vegan diet, a satisfying cheesy pizza is hard to come by – until now.

Goodfella's new vegan pizza

New research from frozen pizza gurus Goodfella’s, found that the two foods most missed by vegans were cheese and pizza[1], so the brand is answering their prayers with the launch of a new plant-based pizza complete with delicious dairy-free cheese.

The new Goodfella’s Vegan Stonebaked Spicy Vegetable Salsa Pizza features a thin stonebaked pizza base, topped with spicy tomato sauce, cheddar-style vegan cheese, red and green peppers, black beans, red onion, sweetcorn, salsa drizzle and a spiced crumb.

Alex Brown, Brand Manager from Goodfella’s, said “One of the biggest challenges for vegans is missing out on the foods they once loved. Vegan cheese is hard to get right, so we spent months searching for the perfect recipe. Combined with Mexican flavours and tasty vegetables, the result is so delicious that we’re confident it will please not only vegans but all pizza eaters.”

The new pizza is available in the frozen aisles of Tesco and Sainsbury’s now priced at £2.50.

This latest vegan creation follows the overwhelming public reaction to the launch of the Goodfella’s Vegan Stonebaked Falafel Pizza in 2018.
