A new study has revealed where Brits will draw the line in the name of romance and the majority (94 per cent) would refuse to end a friendship or change religion for romantic reasons.

Getting rid of a pet (93 per cent), changing political preference (91 per cent) and going vegan (86 per cent) are also seen as relationship deal-breakers.

The study has been conducted by discovery+ to celebrate the release of the TV show '90 Day Fiance UK' – which is set to launch in the UK on July 24.

The comedian Katherine Ryan has launched a TikTok campaign that sees fans reveal what they won't do for love to the soundtrack of Meatloaf's hit song 'I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)'.

Leading love expert Alix Fox said: "Our survey shows that when it comes to what they're willing to do for a partner, reassuringly, Brits know their boundaries; but just like the folks on 90 Day Fiancé UK, there's also a long way they're prepared to go when someone truly captures their hearts. It's such a juicy discussion: how much should you put on the line for love, and where do you make like Meatloaf and say 'No, I won't do THAT!'?! This brand new UK-based series is going to get us all talking..."
