A Minnesota baby girl was born on Veterans Day - the 11th day of the 11th month - at 11:11pm.
Erin and Mike Potts of Hugo, Minnesota, welcomed their first child on Sunday, which was the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I.
In America, Veterans Day - which replaced Armistice Day in 1954 - is a public holiday to honour US veterans and victims of all wars.
The girl was born at The Mother Baby Center in St. Paul.
WCCO-TV spoke to the new mom who said the childbirth was a long labour that lasted from about 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.
But the glowing mother also added that: ''the delivery went smoothly.''
