A couple were left mortified when their three-year-old daughter posted their racy love letters to their neighbours.

The two long-distance partners - who were kept apart when the gentleman was away at sea in the 1960s - turned to x-rated notes to keep the magic alive despite literally oceans between them.
However, just a few weeks later the pair found out their young daughter had decided to share the notes with their neighbours, and they were incredibly embarrassed.
The man - who wanted to remain anonymous - told the Mirror Online: ''I sent some steamy letters to my wife when I was at sea, some exceedingly hot. They had been opened my wife had read them and put them away as she thought safely, not the case.
''My daughter found them and went on her Postman Pat delivery. A neighbour returned some of them to my wife.
''Oh happy days. I think the neighbours read them because when I arrived home I got some funny looks.''
