A man purchased a lottery-winning ticket as he waited for his mother to finish her shopping.

Herbert Scruggs revealed that he was waiting for his mother to purchase her groceries when he decided to pass the time by getting a scratch-off lottery ticket.
Scruggs told Virginia Lottery officials that he scratched the ticket off when he arrived home and he passed it over to his mother as he couldn't believe what he was saying.
He recalled: ''She got all excited. She said I won!''
Scruggs won the $200,000 top prize with the ticket, although he has not decided what he will do with the money.
He said: ''It feels sort of surreal. It still hasn't hit me yet.''
