The man was charged with dangerous driving after he set off with "practically zero visibility" after failing to remove snow and ice from his vehicle in Scotland.

Tayside Roads Policing Inspector Greg Burns revealed that officers were incredulous when they saw the foolhardy driver.

He said: "Our officers genuinely could not believe what they were seeing when they saw this car today.

"Yes, it's an inconvenience having to clear your car of snow when there's been significant snowfall, but it is an absolute necessity."

The driver was slammed on social media with users branding him as "brainless" and "a muppet".

One user posted: "I can barely believe that's real, if it's genuine, that clown should never be anywhere near a road with a vehicle."
