Baba Vanga - who died in 1996 - eerily predicted the continent would become ''a wasteland almost entirely devoid of any form of life'' back in the 1970s.

Baba - known as the Nostradamus of the Balkans - also predicted Europe would face an economic crisis this year and warned that the continent will be ''reaching the end of its existence''.

The coronavirus crisis is forecast to have a devastating impact on the world's economy.

A woman who knew Vanga recently claimed that she had foreseen the coronavirus pandemic and warned her that ''the corona will be all over us''.

Neshka Stefanova Robeva wrote on social media: ''Aunt Vanga predicted when I visited her years ago: 'Neshka, the Corona will be all over us.' I did not realise what those words meant then.''

Varga is also said to have predicted the 9/11 terrorist attacks as well as the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004.
