A giant goldfish has been found swimming in a South Carolina lake.

The nine-pound creature was spotted by researchers conducting a fish population survey of a lake.
Greenville County Parks said that the unusually large fish was seen swimming in Oak Grove Lake Park in the US state and shared an image of the animal on Facebook.
The social media post said: "Anyone missing their goldfish? This 9 [pound] goldfish was found in Oak Grove Lake during some recent testing at our lakes."
Greenville official Ty Houck confirmed that the goldfish was returned to the sea.
He told NBC News: "At the advice of professionals, we decided to leave the bachelor, or bachelorette, back where we found it. Obviously, they're really happy here."
