Popeyes has celebrated the opening of its 3,000th store with chicken wings dipped in gold.

The special menu item was announced by the fast food chain to make the special occasion, and the luxurious treat will be available at select stores across the US.
Battered in champagne and covered in 24-karat gold flakes, the wings will cost $10.
The Elizabeth, New Jersey store is the 3,000th location for the chain, and the eatery has said it could roll out the item at more stores if it proves popular.
