A 17-year-old schoolgirl was given detention for wearing a ''sexually distracting'' dress.

Lauren Wiggins was punished by teachers at New Brunswick school in Canada for wearing a halter neck dress to class, which was considered to be distracting to some of her classmates.
But Lauren has hit back at her school on Facebook, writing: ''Today I received a detention because the outfit I am wearing is considered inappropriate and a sexual distraction to the young men in my school.
''Enough is enough. I'm tired of the unjust standards that we as women are held up to.''
