Police officers in Tennessee were tipped off about the human remains, which were being displayed in an unidentified home and DNA tests revealed that it belonged to Junior Neil McCann who was reportedly killed by a family member.

District Attorney General Russell Johnson said: "Someone placed the skull on a fireplace mantle where a pair of sunglasses were added.

"The skull remained there until the Sheriff's Office was informed of its existence."

The remains had been discovered in March 2019 and the owner of the home claimed that it had been given to them by somebody.
