A Virginia State Police sergeant was left totally baffled after hearing some unusual noises coming from the front of her car, and she was amazed to discover that a small rodent trapped inside the vehicle was behind the sound.
In a Facebook post, the authorities quipped: ''So our Bristol Area Sergeant isn't going nuts, after all!
''There really was an animal trapped inside her #VSP patrol car. Fortunately, the squirrel was located unharmed & safely released back into the wild.''
