Rio Grande High School in New Mexico received a 2006 yearbook in the post after it turned up in a garden in the US state. Staff at the school researched possible owners of the book and found that it belonged to Analisa Brill, who was "heartbroken" when the yearbook was stolen from her home nine years ago.

Brill revealed that it was "crazy" to be reunited with the yearbook, which had extra sentimental value as it was from her senior year.

She told KOAT-TV: "The craziest things can happen. There are good people. There are still really good people out there that think in their minds this could mean something to somebody.

"Honestly, I'm just happy to at least have this back."
