Aishwarya Rai has apparently killed off Sonam Kapoor's dreams of walking the red carpet at Cannes by refusing to let her walk for L'Oreal, the brand they both endorse.
We told on Friday how both were set to walk the Red Carpet in Cannes but Aish has apparantly made sure this didn't happen.
A source close to Aishwarya said: "Aishwarya’s deal with the company is clear: she is the international face while Sonam would represent the Indian face. For a while Ash believed that Sonam was misled about the red carpet turn and that she had spoken out of youthful exuberance. But when she found out otherwise, the diva put her foot down. As a result, the there was furious activity to and fro and anxious moments at the company’s office in Mumbai all of Friday. Sonam has not been invited by the brand but is there with her father Anil Kapoor as a visitor."
However a source close to Sonam said: "At the Cannes festival press conference, Aishwarya called Sonam’s statements on the party day as juvenile and irresponsible."
"Sonam is shocked and hurt that Aishwarya is reacting to her in such a way when Sonam has gone out of her way to praise her at the party held on May 10. Sonam and Aishwarya are from two different generations and she has always looked up to Ash for her ability to handle the most difficult of situations with dignity and style."
Looks like there might be fireworks in Bollywood!
