“As modern women, we are led to believe that we can succeed if we work hard, but more often than not, the reality turns out to be very different. Faced with the many pressures of the workplace, we often end up in a spiral of stress, and burnout. This is exactly what happened to me in my career as a university lecturer.

Pull Back Your Power

Pull Back Your Power

I never felt good enough no matter what I achieved. I held back when I wanted to speak up. I pushed myself mercilessly, yet always felt that I had failed. In short, destructive perfectionism was destroying me. My stress spiralled out of control, and I not only ended up losing my scientific career, I also destroyed my health.

I vowed to find a solution, and over the next 20 years, I applied my scientific approach to the subconscious mind, and what I discovered was truly game-changing. I developed a unique system of self-empowerment which frees women from the deep conditioning that sabotages success and undermines wellbeing – I literally learnt how to pull back my power, and this changed everything.

Now, by teaching women how to pull back their power, and activate their unique female brilliance, I empower them to have both success and wellbeing.

We all have it within us to be amazing. The key is having the tools to free ourselves from the conditioning that has restrained women, and stopped them from shining, for so long.”

Start your journey to empowerment with Anne’s four essential steps to freedom from perfectionism.

Be honest with yourself

Do you feel truly fulfilled in your achievements or are you always driven for the next step? Are you much harsher with yourself than you are with others? If you answer yes, then destructive perfectionism is already undermining your wellbeing, and you need to take action.

Stop judging yourself by external standards

Like it or not, the world is still using a male standards as its default. Women have had to fit in by hiding our true female brilliance. Unfortunately this feeds destructive perfectionism because we are judging ourselves against standards we can never meet. Instead, tell yourself that you are at your most impressive when you are true to yourself, and look for your unique female way of doing things.

Beat your subconscious mind at its own game

Perfectionism means MAXIMISING everything all the time, which is totally unsustainable. However, if you OPTIMISE your efforts instead, you can produce sustainable excellence over all aspects of your life, and you actually achieve more. So, tell yourself frequently, ‘the key to success and wellbeing is to release unattainable perfection, and optimise my efforts instead.’

Create a new pattern of self-acceptance

Learn to spot when you start beating yourself up and pushing too hard. These are the times to instil a new response. Stop the negative thought pattern by taking a few deep breaths. Remind yourself of all your achievements and gifts. You have nothing to prove! Focus on your heart and feel your stress reducing as your body feels nurtured and empowered. The more you acknowledge your true individuality, and allow that to shine, the more you will achieve, and the more joy and fulfilment you will experience.
