Dani shares with Female First how she has broken generational cycles of self-sabotage and living on the breadline, to becoming the creator of her own destiny and leader of a movement that has seen thousands of people all over the world stepping up into their own versions of success. With only £300 saved up, Dani invested it all into launch her coaching business I am Queen Bee after attending a master class with the global business coach, Lisa Johnson – fast forward to now, and Dani counts celebrities like former Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton among her clientele and is set to turn over £100K this business year.

“A decade ago, I’d never have believed I’d be where I am today!” said Dani, a former senior leadership trainer in the corporate space for over a decade, she recalls that; “The real lightbulb moment for I Am the Queen Bee came when I was watching the Bee Movie with my girls,. There’s a scene where the fat little bee is told that it can’t get off the ground because it’s wings are too little, but it chooses to fly anyway. I thought, that’s it! I’ll help people to fly anyway, whatever their limitations.”

“I threw all that I had into making my coaching business work, my ‘all in’ attitude alongside the expertise and support I got from Lisa Johnson and the other ladies on the business retreat, finally enabled me to see what I could offer others – and allowed me to just ‘be me’ – it truly was an experience that literally changed my life.”

Dani has mastered the art of running an online business as the fearless leader of the I Am The Queen Bee Movement https://www.iamthequeenbee.co.uk/ helping women across the world Show Up, Wise Up and Rise Up so that they can step up into their birth right of success. She has built a strong global community and continues to launch popular sold out business programmes and is now earning money she could have only dreamed of.

Dani continues “I came to grips with the things that were previously holding me back, I made them mine and then went on to turn the knowledge I gained during the battle into a superpower. I truly believe that if we are all to start stepping into being our own version of Queenliness, or Kingliness, or Royalness (all are welcome, encouraged and loved here), then we have to get comfortable with the fact that, just like everything else in business and life, it is within us to create our own rules.”

Dani’s business has continued to grow in Covid, thanks to being able to work online, although she can’t host her events or attend any singing gigs, she has still hosted sell out live events online, hosted a daily online tv show with experts for her global online community and has a YouTube Channel so she can continue to mentor women and deliver her message that we can all #FlyAnyway.

Having always been a collaborator, passionate about cheerleading others on – Dani knew that once her business started to soar she wanted to give back. In 2021, she has decided to set up a charitable arm called the Fly Anyway Foundation, to help survivors of domestic abuse who are looking to set up their own businesses. In addition to this, during the first UK lockdown, Dani was horrified by the rise in calls to the National Domestic Violence helpline, so alongside her community she set up a one-day online charitable event called The Big Festoon, with celebrity guests including; Tessa Sanderson, This Morning’s Dr Ranj, Natasha Hamilton, Jenny Powell, Jess Cunningham... and many more and managed to raise over £16000 for domestic violence charities Galop and Women’s Aid. Dani said; “Given what I’ve been through, I feel it’s the right time to give something back and help other women get back on their feet too.”

At the end of 2020, Dani became a global bestselling author in the international book charts, after the release of her new book ‘I am The Queen Bee, How I overcame self-sabotage to #FLYANYWAY and how you can too’ became a bestseller within hours of its release flying to number one on the Amazon book charts in eighteen categories and number one spots including; 1 in Business & Finance Reference, 1 in International Business & Finance and 1 in Personalities… overtaking authors of the 5am Club and Miracle Mornings, the creator of Nike and John Cleese to name a few..! Dani’s top 5 tips to step up into your own versions of success and grow a profitable business…

1. Be Passionate – I was all in… once I’d seen that movie and knew I had to help others Fly Anyway regardless of limitation – I couldn’t not make it work – I had that gut wrenching feeling of I have to do this! I didn’t know every step, I didn’t know what it looked like, but I knew every day I would get up and keep on going to make it work. I truly believe that the money then came when others saw the joy in me, it’s is very clear to see that I love what I do.

2. Seek Support – Find your cheerleaders, I couldn’t have done this without the support of my husband and family, mentors and my community. You don’t have to do it all yourself, reach out and learn to lean on others to help you grow.

3. Have a plan - Set yourself a goal and work backwards from there – when steps do I need to take in order to achieve this?

4. Engage your audience – to me it doesn’t matter how many followers someone has – it’s about how engaged they are! I’d rather have 2000 followers who buy than 5 million who don’t.

5. Finally, know your worth – remember this is a business. Initially, I found I lacked the confidence to set prices and sell myself. I remember doing a launch event and at the end I shared the prices for my workshops. I remember the prices sticking in my throat as I was struggling to believe that people would pay to have me teach them. Then a friend said to me, ‘What you have to give is so special, people will pay money to come and hear you and learn from you. Trust your prices.”
