Somewhere in Ireland

there lies a green hill

where love awaits me

my lover is bedded down in a field of pink clover

feeling the warm ocean breezes whisper sweetly

Climbing on a rock on the mountain

I see can the daffodils by the castle.

I smell the fair, blue sea

carrying ships to far away places,

but this is where I long to be.

High above the hill,

the ancient tunes beckon us

to join them in their fog shrouded mysteries

and tales of long lost love

and broken hearts

and shattered dreams.

But my heart is safe,

love of my heart,

nestled in your loving arms.

The hot sun warms my face

as you shadow out the rays

gentle kissing my face

with tender caresses.

Holding me closer

and tighter

as passion grips us.

I love you.

Stripping away my worries

casting my cares to the four winds,

filling my mind with forbidden thoughts,

I reach for you.

We are lost in each other

and consumed by revelry of the moment.

Below us in the valley,

the church bells chime the hour

letting us know the time is late.

What time is it?

One, two, three, four,

five six, seven, eight...

We must hurry

before the sun sets

and the night takes over

when leprechauns and other fairies of the night

come out to tease us and taunt us in our nakeness.

Aroused from our ardor.

we gather our belongings.

Laughing and smiling,

we race down the to the meadow

dotted with wildflowers.

The fragrance overwhelms us.

Kiss me!

Contented, we steal one last forbidden kiss.

As the night overtakes us,

we flee to the grove,

where music, dancing and song,

where new friends

drinks and food await us.

Wouldst you take me there?

just for a moment

and let all else slip away.

Because somewhere in Ireland

there lies a green hill

where love awaits me.
