Samia and Matthew
It's seems that everyone is moving into splitsville in the first week on 2011, this time it's Coronation Street star Samia Smith and her husband, Matthew Smith that have separated!
Everyone's favourite soap hairdresser married Matthew in 2005, and became Mrs Samia Smith, then they had their first child, Freya, just over a year ago, however, it doesn't seem to have solved whatever problems they had and the pair have caled time on their marriage.
The couple are keen to stress that the split is mutual and a statement issued on their behalf reads: "Coronation Street actress Samia Smith and her husband Matthew have today announced that they have decided to separate after five years of marriage. This is a mutual decision and there is no one else involved. Samia and Matthew ask that their privacy be respected at this time for the sake of their daughter Freya."
What a shame. This is one couple we thought would be together forever…. It doesn't really give much hope to the rest of us does it?
