The ‘Saturday Night Live’ star has paid tribute to the health and wellness expert to mark her 37th birthday on Wednesday (06.01.21), as he hailed her as the “love of [his] life”, and his “everything”.

Posting a picture of himself, Hilaria, and their kids - Carmen, seven, Rafael, five, Leonardo, four, Romeo, two, and Eduardo, two - he wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday to the love of my life. To the only person in the world who brings me joy and peace every day. The person who is my home. My everything. (sic)”

The sweet post comes after Alec seemingly defended his wife on social media after she faced claims that she has been misrepresenting her heritage.

Alec slammed Twitter as a "vast orchard" of rubbish, and spoke out about the "ridiculous" things he has read on social media, just hours after Twitter trolls targeted his spouse over her cultural background.

Taking to Instagram, Alec shared with his followers: "You have to kind of hack your way through the debris of Twitter. Twitter is just a vast orchard of c***.

"There's things that have been said lately about people that I love, that I care about deeply, which are ridiculous. I mean, just ridiculous. They've said it about people I love - false things. Untrue things. And as much as that hurts, the only thing I can do is talk to that half of the public or that portion of the public who understands what I mean when I say: 'Consider the source. When you love somebody you want to defend them.’ ”

Meanwhile, Hilaria recently insisted she wants "to be left alone".

She wrote: "I’ve said my piece. I’m so tired. I’m going to go back to my family, because I’ve been not a very good mommy spending a lot of time focusing on this. I just want to be left alone. I love you and I’m going to sign off for a long time."
