The ‘Mamma Mia’ actress – who has three-year-old daughter Nina with husband Thomas Sadoski – was bullied by her classmates so found her teenage years difficult, but she was always aware the difficult times wouldn’t last forever.

She said: “The toughest challenge I've faced was school. It was tough and I was bullied, but it doesn't last forever…

"I wish I could tell my 16-year-old self don't listen to mean girls! They're just there to make you feel bad and the truth is they feel bad about themselves too - that's why they do it."

Despite her years of career success, the 32-year-old star believes her family will always be her “greatest achievement” and she insisted they always come first.

She added: "My family will always be my greatest achievement. If you put your family first then I've always said you're heading in the right direction."

Amanda lives on a farm and though she’s devoted to all her animals, her beloved dog Finn will always hold a special place in her heart.

In a recent interview, she said: "People aside, my most treasured possession is my dog Finn. He was a rescue dog and, even though he will probably never totally understand, he changed my life in more ways than he’ll ever know. I’m so grateful to him.”

The ‘Mean Girls’ star is very “spiritual” and loves being outdoors and “at one” with nature.

She explained: "I'm a spiritual person and I practice mindfulness. I like yoga, I believe in alternative medicine and I enjoy being at one with nature.

"I feel so safe when I'm at home. We live in a quiet place where there's nothing Hollywood about it."
