The 48-year-old reality TV star fell out with the 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' hitmaker in 2009 after she found out that she had been having an affair with her now ex-spouse Eddie Cibrian.

LeAnn was married to Dean Sheremet at the time.

Writing an essay for The Sun US, Brandi began: “I had this rage in my body. I really wanted to kill her.”

The infidelity came as a huge shock to the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' alum as she thought they were "madly in love" and had “the best sex life”.

She said: “I was madly in love and felt like I had the perfect life.

“But like Martha Hancock, I discovered my husband was cheating when he was caught on camera kissing the new woman in his life."

The former model insisted Eddie, also 48, had told her he didn't have feelings for LeAnn and was willing to go to therapy to try and repair the damage.

Brandi claimed: “He said he didn’t — he wanted to be with me forever and for us to go for counseling."

However, their marriage was beyond repair when she found out Eddie - with whom she has Mason, 18, and Jake, 14 - had also been cheating on her with 'Vanderpump Rules’ cast member Scheana Shay, with Brandi admitting she might have considered taking her own life if it wasn't for her children.

She added: “I was broken. If I didn’t have to take care of my kids, I probably wouldn’t be here now.

“It was so public. Everyone felt sorry for me and wanted to hug me. But I wanted to punch everyone in the face. I couldn’t turn on the TV without seeing something about them. LeAnn had taken over my life and I didn’t have a voice anymore.”

Brandi told LeAnn to her face "I will murder you" when she reached breaking point seeing the singer- who went on to marry Eddie in 2011 - with her youngest child on her lap at a soccer game.

The author, who turned to alcohol to self-medicate, recalled: “I walked over to her, grabbed Jake and I looked at her and said, ‘I will f****** murder you.’ I didn’t cope well.

“I was angry, I was drinking — Chardonnay was my crutch. I was so mad at Eddie for blowing up our life together.”

However, the feuding pair eventually put their differences aside for the sake of the kids after they "had it out" with each other.

Brandi said in 2018: "We were having a birthday party just recently and we got into a really serious conversation. We just kind of had it out about what is right, what is wrong, what's better for the kids, and what bothered me and what bothered her. It was hours of conversation, and it wasn't all pleasant."
