The 47-year-old actor - who played David Silver on the show - has responded to Jessica’s recent claims she was banned from making eye contact with the cast when she had a guest role in the drama in 1998, as he said he’s sure no-one “reputable” among the cast and crew would have given her that instruction, because the cast were always “welcoming” to guest stars.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s ‘The Jenny McCarthy Show’, he said: “I don’t think she heard that from anyone reputable, like that was really around us because that wasn’t ever our policy on set.

“Like we were, the one thing that we really were good about on our set was making people feel welcome and feel like they were a part of the family and what we were doing, and they were a part of the team. So I can’t, I can’t imagine that at all.”

The actor's comments come after his former co-stars Ian Ziering, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Jason Priestly all also expressed their surprise at Jessica's claims.

Ian - who portrayed Steve Sanders - said: "I can't for the life of me ever imagine a situation where any of the actors would ever say that. None of my cast mates ever requested anything like that.

"I'm not doubting that was her experience.

"It saddens me because it lessened the experience for her - certainly didn't slow her down in life - but it's hard to hear that there was any negativity on the set."

Tori also wondered if there had been a "memo that was, like, going around from the producers or the AD's and we didn't even know."

She added: "I'm not going to lie to you guys: I was a little horrified when I saw that clip that she said that she wasn't allowed to make eye contact and she had an awful experience because her baby wipes are my favorite ... Like, I wipe my child's ass with her baby wipes every single day. I'm so upset right now.”

Jessica, 39, made her allegations against the show last week, when she said she would be “thrown off set” if she made eye contact with any of the show’s main cast.

She claimed: “I couldn’t even make eye contact with any of the cast members, which was really strange when you’re like trying to do a scene with them. It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set.’ ”
