Chris Brown is being urged to remain in rehab for three months which will give him time to learn how to cope with his anger issues and prove he is serious about overcoming them..

Brown checked into a treatment facility in Malibu, California, on Tuesday (29.10.13), just two days after being arrested for assault after allegedly breaking a man's nose outside a hotel in Washington D.C., and his management team want him to remain there until early next year.

A source was reported as saying "The rehab facility has been told to take him [Brown] apart and put him back together."

Brown 24, is still on probation for beating his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and is reportedly open to remaining in care so he can learn to deal with his anger management issues and prove he is serious about overcoming them, The singer has been warned by his lawyer, Mark Geragos, that he could be sentenced to up to four years behind bars if the judge decides he has violated his probation.

Browns spokesperson has previously said: "Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behaviour, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

The 'Forever' hitmaker was released without bail on Monday (28.10.13), one day after he and his bodyguard were arrested after reportedly hitting the man and making a homophobic slur in the early hours of Sunday morning (27.10.13), when the man and a friend attempted to insert themselves in a picture he was taking with two females.

The star's lawyer maintains he is not guilty of the charges.
