The 42-year-old actor admitted he stopped using sleeping pills because he was unaware of his actions while under their influence, such as when the former WWE champion and his 'Guardians of the Galaxy' co-star queried on set why he'd received a text from Chris, who was full of confidence about his own grappling skills.

Speaking on 'The Late Late Show', Chris said: "There was a moment in my life where I would take sleep aids to help me sleep, and I don't anymore because of things like this. And I would text people, and I'm blackout, have no idea what I'm texting people, on like an Ambien."

Chris recalled how he frantically checked his phone to find out what he'd done when Dave approached him on set and asked about a message he'd sent the night before.

He admitted: "It was like, 'Dave, I want to wrestle you. I want to wrestle you—no one needs to know, but I just want to know. I think I could take you. I think I could wrestle you, bro. Like collegiate rules—no elbow, no knees. I just want to feel the power.'"

The 'Tomorrow War' actor was "mortified" to find out what he'd done, particularly because he was well aware that his chances of triumphing over the "toughest dude in all of Hollywood" were highly unlikely.

He admitted: "Dave would kill me. He is by far the toughest dude in all of Hollywood."

The 'Jurassic World' star and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary but they didn't go all out on a lavish dinner to mark the milestone.

Chris admitted: "We kept it really low key, I'm kind of a low key birthday or celebration guy. We got In-N-Out Burger for our anniversary.

"She deserves the world, you know. So I got her the In-N-Out.

"And a nice piece of jewellery."

But Chris admitted he had planned to keep with tradition and get Katherine a gift made of wood, but her sister intervened.

He said: "Her sister was like, ''You're going to get her diamonds'', and I was like, ''I'm going to get her diamonds.' "
