Ciara reveals the sex of her unborn child didn't initially match her "preference".
The singer is pregnant with her first child but, despite remaining tight-lipped about whether she is carrying and boy or a girl, she admits the gender didn't initially match her "preference".
She said: "I did have a preference before I found out what it was. I had a preference at first and when I was told what it was, I felt it's going to be what it's supposed to be."
However, Ciara, 28, insists her fiancé Future - whom she got engaged to in October last year - was pleased when the sex of their child was revealed.
She added: "It was definitely different [to what I thought] and my fiancé got what he wanted. I'm excited."
The brunette beauty admits she feels like a little kid at Christmas time waiting for her tiny tot to be born into the world.
She said: "It really is a blessing. It's the most exciting time in my life. I'm really excited, like a little kid. Like when a kid is getting ready for Christmas like I can't wait to see what's underneath that tree."
Meanwhile, Ciara - who sparked rumours she was expecting after she was pictured wearing a number of baggy tops - believes pregnancy is "sexy" and she's determined to embrace her curves.
Speaking to HuffPost Live, she explained: "I believe that pregnancy within itself is sexy... I kind of like it actually not being about abs and all that stuff. I really love this phase that I'm going through in my life and I just want to live in it. I just want to be a mummy-to-be."
