The former 'Loose Women' star has signed a deal to bring out her story, entitled 'If They Could See Me Now', in February 2016.

Denise's book will be published by Little Brown Book Group UK and she can't wait for it to hit the shops.

She announced her foray into fiction on Twitter, posting: "Morning! Im thrilled to announce my first novel!! It'll be out in Feb 2016!! Im signed to Sphere @LittleBrownUK xxx (sic)"

Denise's former 'Loose Women' co-star Carol McGiffin instantly took to the social networking site to congratulate her friend.

Carol tweeted: "Well done @RealDeniseWelch great news re your book deal! Ooh if they could see you now babes!!! xxxxx @LittleBrownUK (sic)"

Although this is Denise's first attempt at literature she has previously written two autobiographies.

The first instalment of her life story was called 'Pulling Myself Together' and the second tome was titled 'Starting Over' - which dealt with her split from husband Tim Healy and subsequent romance with Lincoln Townley, who she went on to marry - and was released in April 2013.
