The burlesque dancer wed the 'Beautiful People' rocker in a lavish ceremony at Gurteen Castle, Ireland, in 2005 but split just over a year later and now the 43-year-old beauty has admitted she had reservations about going through with the ceremony.

She said: "I was with him for seven years, we were married for only a year.

"I feel like getting married was sort of like the kiss of death for us because it was the nail in the coffin.

"I felt obliged to go through with the ceremony in a way because so much was riding on it, like Vogue was photographing it, and it was in this castle. I just thought, 'Oh well.'"

Though the couple's split was acrimonious, Dita and Manson have now repaired their friendship and she has fond memories of their time together.

Speaking on 'Kocktails With Khloe', she said: "He was super encouraging. He encouraged all of my eccentricities, and he made an album that was kind of burlesque-themed, and we made music videos together.

"I can speak fondly about him now.

"If you would have asked me about it four years ago, I would have shut it down, but we're friends now."
