The 50-year-old singer - who already has Junior, 18, and 16-year-old Princess with ex-wife Katie Price and Millie, nine, and seven-year-old Theo with spouse Emily - and his wife are preparing for the arrival of his fifth child and he insisted he has just as much energy now as he did when his eldest son was born.

Asked if he's ready for the chaos a new baby brings to the household, he told Britain's OK! magazine: “Absolutely! I’ve got as much energy now as I had in my twenties.

“I feel fantastic. I’m ready for this.”

Emily is halfway through her pregnancy and the couple have had some "worrying" moments which have seen the doctor treated in hospital.

Peter said: “It’s been an emotional roller coaster for Emily but she never complains, she just gets on with it.

“There’ve been a couple of accident and emergency stops along the way. I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”

And the 34-year-old medic admitted she shed "a few tears" in the early months because she couldn't enjoy a meal or even a cup of tea without feeling sick.

She said: “When I ate, it got worse, so I had months of having to basically eat rabbit food.

“I’m starting to be able to enjoy food again now and it’s lovely.

“I’m getting the nursery blinds made and we’ve been up in the loft to dig out what we need. I found a teeny babygrow and some little bonnets and socks the other day, and I suddenly felt very excited.”

The 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker hailed his fifth baby a "gift".

He gushed: “My children are by far my proudest achievements, they are my whole life, and this baby is a gift.

"When my first child was born, my whole world and purpose changed.

“My children’s births were my proudest moments. I’ve realised everything we do in life is for our children.”
