The 'Secret Life of the American Teenager' actress was left "boxed in" while driving on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles at the same time a rally in support of the president was talking place and she's hit out at the "dangerous" behaviour which almost caused her to crash her car.

Taking to Instagram Story, she tearfully said: "I was just on the 405 and I got stuck in that stupid Trump rally and they f–king boxed me in and they’re pointing at me and laughing at me saying, ‘Haha.'

“And I literally almost crashed because they wouldn’t let me out.

"I was trying to go around it and they literally all stopped and boxed me on the f****** freeway when all I wanted to do was go around.

“And they were just being so violent and I could have crashed, I could have f****** crashed.

"It was so dangerous and I just don’t understand why that’s the country that you are all supposedly wanting right now.”

The 32-year-old actress admitted the incident was "really f****** scary" and slammed the state of the US.

She added: "Really? That’s what makes America ‘great? Really? That’s f***** up, I could have f****** died right now. That was so f****** dangerous. Pointing at me and laughing at a Mexican. That was really f****** scary.”

Francia also shared messages from friends who had had similar experiences after accidentally getting caught up in the rally.

She wrote alongside their words: "THIS IS NOT OK. I t should not happen when you're driving. I was trying to go see my family and trucks boxed me in and their drivers were laughing and YELLING racist obscenities. It wasn't just me, This will continue happening unless we make a change.(sic)"
