Gwen Stefani was “kidnapped” by her family for an intimate bridal shower ahead of her marriage to Blake Shelton.

The 51-year-old singer plans on tying the knot with Blake this summer, and to mark the upcoming occasion, her family swept her away on Thursday (10.06.21) for a sweet bridal shower party.
In one post on her Instagram Story, Gwen wrote: “I got kidnapped by family to celebrate that I’m getting married!”
And in another, she added: “Feeling loved, feeling blessed.”
The former No Doubt star also posted a picture of herself holding a present and enjoying a glass of wine, alongside the text “she’s getting marriiieeeeed (sic)”.
The image was captioned with a series of emojis, including a bride, a ring, and a smiley face surrounded by hearts.
Meanwhile, the ‘Hollaback Girl’ hitmaker recently said she and Blake, 44, plan on keeping their wedding “very simple”.
She said: “We’re keeping it very simple. Really simple. I think the guest list will not have a lot of musicians. It’ll be like my mom and my dad. It’s literally going to be just family. We are looking forward to that, though.
“It’s going to be fun. We’re going to make it really fun, but it’s not going to be a big [event]. It’s not like the queen and king are getting married or something like that.”
While Blake said their nuptials will be “great”, but only if Gwen does all the planning.
He joked: "I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it's going to be great.
"She's in the middle of planning the thing, and she's always so mindful … of me. She's like, 'Hey, I don't want to just take this thing over.' I think she's having a blast doing it. I mean, I know she's having a blast doing it.
“If I was picking our meal, it would just literally be everything fried. French fries, chicken tenders - you know, all of that stuff. I think she knows that it would be a pretty classless wedding if I was in control."
