The Sex Pistols star worked in a play centre, looking after kids as part of an after school club, and he admits it was a "great job" but he confessed he had to watch what he was saying.

He admitted: "Looking after kids - I had a play centre job - was very, very good. The hours were from 4pm when the schools closed down until 6pm or 7pm, when the parents could finally pick up their kids. I thought it was a great job. I would be shooting the s*** with little kids. It was about catching up with their agendas and passing on bits of info that I knew from my manor. The kids would ask, 'Sir, how do you get away with that green hair?' ..."It was hard, you really had to watch what you were saying with the children. It was important not to give out the wrong messages."

And the 65-year-old rocker had to deal with a number of troublesome children, revealing that his secret to success was that he worked hard to find out "what the rebelliousness was within them" and believes it went very well as no one "got stabbed or cut in his class".

Writing in his book, I Could Be Wrong, I Could Be Right, he shared: "You just had to find out what the rebelliousness was within them. You had to let them play with it rather than bury it within them. I found that reduced violence. No one got stabbed or cut in my class."
