The 'Black Mass' actor could be set to do a tell-all TV interview under the advice of Allan Mayer, who has been drafted in to help the 53-year-old star salvage his reputation in the wake of allegations of domestic abuse from estranged wife Amber Heard.

A source told the new issue of Grazia magazine "Johnny has been warned that his career could take a major downturn and wants to do as much damage control as possible. He's being urged to do a huge TV interview and is being advised that he can't just hide away.

"Johnny held a string of secret meetings with Allan and his team at a hotel in Denmark last month while he was touring there with his band. A huge crisis management drive has been launched in LA too."

Amber recently filed for divorce from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor and has accused him of being physically and verbally abusive towards her during their marriage.

The actress' pal iO Tillett Wright, who called the police after Johnny allegedly attacked Amber, 30, last month, recently said that Amber was left with a "busted lip and clumps of hair on the floor" after an "all-out assault".

In a blog post, she wrote: "The reports of violence started with a kick on a private plane, then it was shoves and the occasional punch, until finally, in December, she described an all-out assault and she woke up with her pillow covered in blood. I know this because I went to their house. I saw the pillow with my own eyes. I saw the busted lip and the clumps of hair on the floor. I got the phone call immediately after it happened, her screaming and crying, a stoic woman reduced to sobs."

The photographer also claimed that she called 911 because Amber "never would".

She wrote: "I called 911 because she never would. Because every time it happened, her first thought was about protecting him. Because every time it happened, the sweet, loving man we all cared for so much would come back with apologies, profuse, swearing up and down that he understood how bad what he had done was, and swearing never to do it again."

Johnny has denied all of the allegations levelled against him, while the most recent development in the divorce proceedings is that Amber has withdrawn her request for temporary spousal support from Johnny.
