Katy Perry is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The 28-year-old 'Wide Awake' hitmaker will be honoured with the commemorative plaque along with a number of other high profile stars, including Irish actor Liam Neeson, British star Orlando Bloom and 'Magic Mike' actor Matthew McConaughey next year.

The brunette beauty was among the list of honourees announced for 2014 by Chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, David Green, on Thursday (20.06.13).

The late rapper Tupac Shakur, Motown legends Holland Dozier Holland, British rocker Jeff Lynne and Australian star Rick Springfield will also receive plaques on the famous pavement in Los Angeles in the music category.

Meanwhile 'Lincoln' star Sally Field, 'Homeland' star Claire Danes, 'The Big Bang Theory' actress Kaley Cuoco, Ray Dolby, Jack H. Harris, Jessica Lange, Paul Mazursky and Tom Sherak will also be recognised in the film category, along with several other stars.

Announcing the new list of upcoming honourees, Mr. Green said: "We have a great mix of celebrities and industry executives who have made Hollywood what it is today - one of the greatest entertainment destinations in the world. The new selections will bring great joy and fond memories for those millions who visit Hollywood each year!"

Jennifer Lopez received the 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.

The 'On The Floor' hitmaker said: "A star on Hollywood boulevard, I said I wasn't going to cry. I really am overwhelmed - it all feels kind of, I don't know, surreal. I'm a lucky girl. My dream was always to entertain. I just wanted to be good at what I did."
