Katy Perry used to keep Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift's hair in her handbag.
The 'Roar' hitmaker, who is dating singer-songwriter John Mayer, admitted she asked her younger rivals for locks of their hair at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles a few years ago and thought it was "awesome".
The 28-year-old star told fans during a Q&A with Mario Lopez, broadcast live online from Los Angeles on Tuesday night (22.10.13): "One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. And I asked for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome."
She claimed she "put little bows on [the locks] individually" and kept them in her purse at the event.
She added: "That was my little secret. I'm a freak!"
Katy's boyfriend John, 36, previously dated Taylor, 23, in 2010 and she later wrote a song 'Dear John' about their failed romance.
The 'Wildfire' singer blasted the song as "cheap song-writing."
He added: "I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you've ever been, someone kicked you even lower?"
