The 40-year-old singer joined the popular girl group in 1998 and Kerry thinks her curvaceous figure was responsible for her joining the band.
Kerry explained: "I started my career as a topless model - that’s how I got in Atomic Kitten, because I had great t**s!"
The blonde beauty admits she was never "going to be a rocket scientist" - but she thinks her figure propelled her towards pop stardom.
She told Daily Star Online: "I was a size six waist, with 34DD chest, at age 16 - that’s when I started topless modelling.
"I wasn’t going to be a rocket scientist, but I had great t**s."
Kerry also admitted that her mum was proud of her modelling past.
The singer shared: "My mum used to have one of my Page 3 photographs up on her living room wall."
Meanwhile, Kerry recently admitted she only agreed to a date with Ryan Mahoney because she wanted a “free meal”.
The pop star - who has Molly, 19, and Lilly, 18, with first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi, 14, and Max, 12, with second spouse Mark Croft and six-year-old DJ from her marriage to the late George Kay – wasn’t interested in finding love again because she was focusing on rebuilding herself but her friend Danielle Brown “forced” her into meeting the personal trainer.
She explained: "After my past relationships, I spent a lot of time learning to love myself. I had to learn to love me before I could get into another relationship.
"I didn’t even want to start seeing anyone again. I only went on a date with Ryan because Danielle forced me to and I fancied a free meal!
"It was a real slow burner for me. I didn’t think I was ready.
"But I was learning to love myself and, as a result, I found Ryan."
