The 'Girls' star says her and her mother Laurie Simmons "occasionally butt heads over fashion" but she thinks she does a good job and revealed she "got so many compliments" when her mom picked her outfit.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she said: "My mom is a very stylish woman and I would say that she and I occasionally butt heads over fashion. Sometimes. But she's said to me before, 'Just let me pick. Just let me pick! I can do a good job.' One time I did [let her dress me] and I got so many compliments. It was so annoying."

Lena previously admitted she always wants to dress like a child because she hates adult fashion.

She shared: "I was everything I'd ever wanted to be (formidably adorable), everywhere I ever wanted to go (my bedroom) and hanging with the hottest company in town (my parents). So, like the high school quarterback who can't stop milling around the football field well into middle age, I have just continued to dress like a full-scale baby.

"When my career began to take off, I felt enormous pressure from parents, publicists, and pundits to start looking and acting like a real, live grown-up. The same thing I was celebrated for - my honesty and sense of self - was lambasted by those who felt celebrity (especially for women) meant a duty to appear camera-ready and probably sex-ready too."
