The 'Naughty List' hitmaker - who has three-year-old Bear with his ex-partner Cheryl Tweedy - admits the festive season is so important to him now he has a child.

He shared: "Christmas has a different meaning since I've had my son. It's all about the kids. The best thing about Christmas is to connect with friends and family."

And the 27-year-old singer says he is already really in the "Christmas spirit".

Speaking about his festive plans this year, he said in a Q&A video posted to Instagram: "I'm in the Christmas spirit as per usual. I'm usually the one who is doing the cooking. It's a lot of fun seeing him watch out for Santa and shout up the chimney.

"I'm getting through my Christmas list and part of the season is getting nervously excited about the fact that you haven't got a lot done already."

Liam admitted he has found it "hard" not seeing his son during the coronavirus pandemic.

The former One Direction singer said recently: "I've been FaceTiming as much as I can, and it's just great knowing he's so well looked by Cheryl at home. But missing my son has been one of the hardest things that I've had to do so far. I'm dying to get back to see him, but obviously, I just think it's so important that we follow the government guidelines at the moment and me and Cheryl are talking all the time. The thing that I'm trying to remember in my head is there are going to be bad days. There are going to be some days where you feel a bit down. But as long as you know that, you can kind of battle your way through it a little bit."
