The 30-year-old hunk has relocated to the US after landing a presenting job on the American entertainment news programme 'Extra', but the co-host is already counting down the days until December when he plans to jet home to enjoy the festive season with his wife Michelle Keegan.

The former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star told The Sun Online: "Now I've been here a month or two, I think I'm already ready to go back at Christmas. I probably will go back for three or four days just to be with the family.

"Wherever I spend it Michelle will be with me anyway."

However, Mark has admitted when he first arrived in America he had vowed to spend December 25 on the beach.

Speaking about his original plans, the British heartthrob said: "At first I was like I'm going do one Christmas away I'm going to stay in LA and go to the beach or something."

And Mark's decision to reunite with his loved ones in a few months' time is because he is feeling "lonely".

He previously said: "I've had the same group of friends since I was a kid. I miss them lots, I miss my family, my wife's away working, we can't get to each other right now because she's working solidly every day like I am, too.

"I'm without my friends, without my family, without my wife - it's always going to be a bit lonely but I'm not complaining just yet."

And staying in touch with his 30-year-old spouse has proved difficult as she has been busy filming the next installment of the military drama 'Our Girl' in Nepal, South Africa and Malaysia.

The brunette beauty previously said: "Luckily we have FaceTime. Though at the minute, the time difference is really hard - if I get in from work, he's just getting up and when he's going to bed, I'm just getting up."
