The 36-year-old American actress is set to tie the knot with the flame-haired Prince on May 19, and it has now been revealed she is hard at work studying everything from how to walk to how to dress, ready for her transition into becoming a member of the royal family.

Prince Charles' former butler Grant Harrold said: "She has to be careful what she says, how she says it, and how it's taken because after the 19th of May, it will be a reflection of the royal family.

"It's everyday things - from the way she walks, the way she speaks, the things she does, how she eats, how she holds her cup, how she dresses - everything will be looked at. There will be a lot for her to adapt to."

Grant does admit, however, that hugging won't be off the cards for the former 'Suits' actress as although usual protocol states that royals don't hug members of the public, some of the younger royals - including Meghan's 33-year-old fiancé and his older brother Prince William - have already started to break this tradition.

He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "None of the rest of the Royal Family hugged. Now the younger royals, Princes William and Harry, you see them hugging ... So it's their way of doing it. They are copying what their mother did, which is fantastic."

It isn't the first time it has been claimed that Meghan is undergoing etiquette lessons, as sources previously stated she was even learning how to climb out of a vehicle with "royal grace".

An insider said: "Meghan is on a crash course with a trusted coach used by the royals.

"First on the list is silver service - she must be able to tell a fish knife from her butter knife, know how to handle seafood, drink soup and so on.

"There'll be no stone unturned as in less than 12 weeks all eyes will be on her - there is no room for error."

And it was also claimed the actress will be taking elocution lessons to soften her American accent.

The source added: "Elocution lessons will also feature. Meghan's American twang will be softened and toned down. But more essential is her switching to British terminology - she simply cannot be 'taking out the trash' and 'wearing pants'."
