The 27-year-old pop star gave birth to her four-month-old son Riley via a C-section but Meghan admitted she initially struggled to recover from the birth, which led to her son spending five days in intensive care after he experienced breathing issues.

Meghan - who married her husband, Daryl Sabara, in 2018 - shared: "The first week after I came home, I definitely felt like I had a little PTSD - because you finally have the pain of the C-section. And then I would tell my husband, like, 'I still feel them inside me digging around.'"

However, the singer insists that the trauma of the birth is now fully behind her.

She told E! News: "I feel like a superwoman and I have my beautiful tiger stripe stretch marks and my scar to prove it."

The 'All About That Bass' hitmaker has also heaped praise on her husband, praising his supportive attitude over recent months.

She said: "I try to thank him every single day. I'm like, 'I couldn't do any of these dreams without you taking care of our kid and taking care of my family'. Like, he takes care of all of us."

Earlier this month, Meghan revealed she feels like a "bada**" after giving birth.

The singer confessed that motherhood has taught her how strong she is.

She said: "I'm a badass. I didn't know how strong I was.

"A lot of people are like, 'Wow, you're so tough and strong.' And I'm always in my head [thinking], 'No, I'm so weak. What do you mean?' And I also feel like 16 and pregnant - I feel so young in my head. But because of going to the doctor appointments by myself, I had to really become an adult and I'm very impressed with myself.

"My discipline has been amazing. So I'm super-proud, and I know now that I can achieve anything. I'm like, if I can get through that C-section, man, I can do anything."
