Michael Jackson didn't want to be doing his moonwalk dance move aged 50.

The late superstar's mother, Katherine Jackson, said during her video deposition in her family's wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Live she was surprised Michael agreed to do this planned 'This Is It' shows as he was getting too old for his signature move.

In her testimony, played to the jury yesterday (18.07.13), she said: "He was always making a joke about he don't want to be doing the moonwalk on stage when he's 50 years."

The 83-year-old matriarch is due to appear in person in court today (19.07.13) to give evidence about Michael, who died from a fatal dose of Propofol in June 2009, aged 50.

The Jackson family are suing AEG - who organised the This Is It concerts in London - for hiring and not properly investigating Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for his role in Michael's death.

However, AEG claim it was Michael who demanded and hired Dr. Conrad Murray and asked for the super strength anesthetic.

Brian Panish, Katherine's lawyer, told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Katherine's going to talk about Michael growing up as a child, his life, his family, his career, his relationship with his children and how his death has affected her and her children and Michael's children. It will be off the charts."

Katherine has been getting her hearing aids checked in preparation for her testimony, and hourly breaks have been suggested to make the process easier for her.

Brian added: "She listens really hard, and that tires her. She gets tired in the afternoon."

The trial started in April and is expected to continue until September.
