Mickey Rooney's eight children have filed a legal bid to contest his will.

The late actor bequeathed his entire modest $18,000 estate to his stepson and carer Mark Aber but his biological kids filed paperwork with the Superior Court of the State of California on May 8 alleging Mark took advantage of him during his final days.

The documents have been filed against Michael Augustine, the conservator for the late actor's estate and claim he helped manipulate their famous father, who died last month aged 93, with Aber.

According to RadarOnline.com, the documents read: "Decedent's health was failing and he was of very advanced age; Respondent had come to be the court appointed conservator of the estate and person of Decedent after a long and traumatic period in his life involving elder abuse. During this period, Respondent acted in concert with Aber, Decedent's stepson, who occupied a position of trust and confidence as the caretaker of Decedent and who, during this period, lived with Decedent along with Aber's wife, Charlene Aber, before and up to the time of Decedent's death... Decedent reposed trust and confidence in Aber."

The documents further claim that the conservator and Mickey's step-son were able to convince him what to write in his will.

They continue: "Respondent and Aber were able to and did control and influence the mind and actions of the Decedent to such an extent that Decedent did whatever Respondent and Aber instructed him to do. Taking advantage of this trust and confidence, Respondent and Aber suggested and dictated the contents of the Document, arranged for the execution of the Document, and caused Decedent to execute the Document."

The legal bid is asking for the will to be nulled as the children believe it was not drafted in "the free and voluntary act" of their father. They also want to be awarded legal fees.

Though Mickey had just $18,000 in the bank when he died, he is worth more through residuals and royalties.

He disinherited wife Janice because she will receive Social Security and some of his pension benefits, which total about $8,400 a month.
