The 'House That Built Me' hitmaker has confessed that her right-hand woman carries alcohol around with her wherever she goes just incase of any issues.

She told Sounds Like Nashville: "My assistant packs - I call it my nanny bag - she packs a bag of liquor for emergencies, for meltdowns and things like that."

And the alcoholic stash came in helpful when Miranda and her team's flight to Las Vegas got cancelled and they had to quickly rent a van and drive to make it to the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Sharing a picture of the "mobile bar", she wrote on Instagram: "Y'all....@ACMawards or bust! Storms diverted our plane to Laughlin Nevada. So... Rent a car set up the bar!! Vegas here we come.

"Thanks Curt Jenkins For drivin! Best TM ever! #highwayvagabonds #wheelsandwhiskey #fenderbender #vanjam #90'scountry #bartenderinanotherlife (sic)"

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old singer previously confessed she hit the bottle after her divorce from Blake Shelton two years ago.

She said: "I got divorced so I started drinking a little extra. I found myself in Midtown in Nashville three nights in a row at like last call and with the lights coming on, and I'd be sitting there. So I wrote a song about it."

It came just months after she told her loyal fans that she would not be divulging any details about her ex-husband.

She added at the time: "I feel really strongly about the only talking I needed to do, I've done and it's on tape. All the parts of me, the parts of the pain I went through, everything that happens to a person in their life - especially in the last couple years for me - is on this record."
