The 24-year-old model has revealed her parent's goal for 2017 was to get their daughter to sit down and enjoy one novel per month for the "entire year", and the star has revealed she has made that her own aim to achieve too, and so far the plan is going well.

The brunette beauty shared a picture of her clasping at the text 'Lean In' by Sheryl Sandberg, which was posted on her Instagram account, she wrote: "When I asked my dad what his New Years resolution was he told me it was for ME to read more.... Lol. SO I decided to make it a goal to read one book a month for this entire year. (sic)."

The 'The Other Woman' actress has admitted she has previously read 'I Am Malala' by Christina Lamb and Malala Yousafzai.

She continued: "Last month I read 'I Am Malala' and this month I'm reading 'Lean in' by @sherylsandberg. (sic)."

And fashion icon has urged her supporters to suggest any texts they think she should read, as she would like to set up a form of book club with her fans.

She explained: "I wanted to share with you guys if you're interested in reading with me or suggest books you've liked reading/want to read and we can do it together. Yes???maybe??? Idk, but I love you guys! (sic)."

Although the star is now following her dad Peter's advice, she has admitted she went against him and her mother Susan when she was younger by taking part in a beauty pageant, which they disapproved of and considered to be "vain".

The former Miss USA champion - who won the highly acclaimed title in 2012 - previously said: "My first pageant was when I got to college. I was 18 years old and that's when I began modelling. My agency told me not to do the pageant; they thought it was tacky. My parents felt the same way. They thought it was vain."
