The 40-year-old actor may have a highly successful career but he's not worried about work drying up over the next 10 years as he's convinced job offers only get better over time.

Speaking in the new edition of ELLE magazine, he said: "I'm just waiting for the age lines to get deeper in my face. I'm excited about the prospect of the next 10 years. Actors do their most interesting stuff between 40 and 50. I mean, f**k - I hope that's the case for me!"

The heartthrob hasn't always felt this positive about his career choice though as he admitted he spent most of his thirties trying to figure out whether he was doing it right.

He explained: "I had so much [success] in my twenties, most of my thirties was [spent] figuring out which way was up. I love what I do.

"It came from that connection kids felt with [The Lord of the Rings'] Legolas, or [Pirates of the Caribbean's] Will Turner. I'm looking for that thing again..."

Movie executives are currently on the hunt for the next James Bond following Daniel Craig's decision to step down and Orlando thinks he'd be perfect for the spy role.

He said: "I will make a good Bond... when they make Bond someone all the kids fall for."
