An inquest into the death of Peaches Geldof will begin next week, it has been confirmed.

The hearing, which is expected to last around 10 minutes, will be opened and adjourned by coroner Roger Hatch at Gravesend Old Town Hall in Kent on Thursday May 1.

A spokesman for Mr. Hatch said a senior police officer will make an official statement during the hearing and the coroner will also release the cause of death.

However, a date for a full inquest into Peaches' death is due to be set in late-July, the spokesman added.

The body of the TV personality was discovered at the home she shared with her husband Thomas Cohen and two sons Phaedra, one, and Astala, two, in Wrotham, Kent, South East England, on April 7.

Police have so far described her death as "sudden and unexplained", but non-suspicious as there was no drugs or suicide note found at her home.

However, a post-mortem carried out on April 9 at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford proved to be "inconclusive", so samples of her blood and tissue were sent off to the laboratory for toxicology testing.

Meanwhile, the blonde beauty was laid to rest last Monday (21.04.14) at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in Davington, Kent, where her father Sir Bob Geldof delivered a heartbreaking eulogy.

TV presenter Alexa Chung, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, singer Eliza Doolittle, actress Jaime Winstone and Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman were among the mourners at the funeral.
