Robbie Williams has decided he's going to quit music for good and become a mechanic.

The singer has claimed he'll be giving up his pop career in favour of a "proper job" as he's grown tired of the industry whilst nearing 25 years into his career.

Speaking in a YouTube video on his channel he explained: "To be quite honest with you I'm getting a little bit bored of the pop star / rock star thing. I've been very, very lucky, I've had an amazing career, but I want to do something different."

His eleventh studio album was released last week, but the record was ineligible to chart as it was released via his official website.

Despite selling around an estimated 140,000 copies, the star suggested he wants to leave it all behind and move to Germany for a new job, as he doesn't think being a musician is an appropriate job for a father.

"I love you Germany; always have and I always will. I want to do something different that involves living with you and in you. For the first time in my life I want a job job, a proper job. I'm a daddy now and I feel as though it's only right that I have one."

He also revealed that he had considered playing football professionally, but decided working with cars would be the best role for him.

"And I've been thinking about my options about what my job job could be and I thought soccer in Germany maybe, and then no I'm too old... and then I thought to myself, Germany's got amazing cars. Give me a call."
